A Global Solution for the Future

Cotton is the best-selling natural fiber in America today, supplying the global demand now and far into the future for textiles and a wide range of other products.

Because of a steady stream of scientific advances over the past 40 years in growing cotton, processing it and manufacturing cotton products, the cotton industry has been reducing its environmental impacts, and scientists expect that there will be many additional environmental advances for cotton as well as new uses for the cotton plant. Thus, over the coming decades cotton will continue to play an important role in serving the world's growing population in sustainable ways.

Cotton Incorporated, on behalf of the global cotton industry, fully appreciates the gravity of the historic challenge posed by population growth and climate change and the responsibilities these challenges entail. We take pride in the fact that cotton serves as a living example of how positive environmental change and increased productivity coexist in an industry that helps drive economic development around the world.
